The AC-IR-OC-1M Optocoupler is an in-line infrared signal balancer that might become your kit's most valuable tool.

While infrared codes are standardized, infrared send and receive circuitry may often vary, depending on manufacturers. In some instances, voltage-driving IR output commands from the sending device may be insufficient, delivering only a partial code string or no data to the receiving device. The AC-IR-OC-1M functions as a constant 12 volt bridge between connected products, ensuring IR signal integrity is maintained and commands reach the intended device.

The IR output voltage for AVPro products is standardized at 5 volts (though our IR input stages may safely accommodate up to 20 volts). While this specification is compatible with most manufacturers, there are occasions when it may be problematic. Solve the issue quickly and confidently with the AC-IR-OC-1M.
